Being not only the first and the biggest supplier of water and oil swelling elastomers, along with the tools using them, but we also have the biggest and widest range of different water swelling Elastomers available in the industry enabling us to help solve our many customers differing problems.
Ruma Rubber is unusual in the Rubber Industry, not only have our compounders engineered our own swelling elastomer products but our own engineers and well engineers have designed and created a range of products to suit our customers’ requirements helping them to solve general and very specific technical problems. We have been supplying Water and Oil Swelling products to the Geothermal, mining and salt mining as well as the Oil and gas industry for more than 15 years. With over 15 general service and 250 specific elastomers we are able to supply engineered solutions to almost all problems from 2 to 200 Celsius applications in all brine concentrations and extreme conditions.
Our research department is busy working with and testing the next generation of even more advanced water swelling elastomers and tools capable of working in excess of 250 Celsius. This together with the necessary design and development of new mechanical and chemical bonding will ensure that this next generation perform to the exacting standards achieved by their more simple predecessors.
