Developing a new elastomer is not just about altering a few Ingredients. Once elastomers reach elevated temperatures ingredients chemically react with each other altering the mechanical characteristics of the elastomer and effecting its abilities. To ensure long term life expectancy a huge test program is conducted in our Labs to ensure the elastomer is not only up to the job but able to stay doing this for as long as required. In addition swelling is not sealing so extensive tests are conducted to ensure mechanical and or chemical bonding gives the required effects and that this works in synergy with the swell to create the designed sealing ability required. Our Engineers test all the elastomers in the Lab to ensure that at the required conditions the expected effects are achieved before they are allowed to be used in the customers conditions.
